Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.
